First of all, somebody needs to explain to the author that under no circumstances should 7 commas ever be used in one sentence! This book is in desperate need of an editor! Trying to read the first chapter is a virtual nightmare but if you get past that, there is some decent information. I suggest starting at the first 'The uses of' chapter and go from there.I don't like that they recommend applying EOs directly to your skin. You should always dilute with a carrier oil as some people can be quite sensitive to EOs. The book suggests a 'try it with one drop and see if you have a reaction' approach. This risks getting a chemical burn. If the EO is diluted then applied to skin you could still react negatively if you're sensitive to it, but at a lower concentration it wouldn't have dangerous consequences. The book also mentions ingesting essential oils but gives no directions or guidelines. It's very dangerous to just go suggesting someone ingest tea tree oil if they think they have worms and instead the author should be directing them to a professional who can recommend a correct dosage and monitor any reaction they might have.
The ailments each oil is attributed to helping are correct but there are no exact instructions for EO use and some of the vague directions leave a lot to be desired. It seems to me like the author just tossed together a few hours worth of research without care for the health of the reader. Some of these practices are reckless at best. I'm sorry I 'purchased' this book and will be deleting it from my library.
